My HKDSE English Success Kit for Newly Arrived Students
Course Description

This introductory course is tailored for newly arrived students from mainland China who are unfamiliar with the Hong Kong education system. Over six sessions of 90 minutes each, participants will gain a foundational understanding of the HKDSE English Language exam format and expectations.

  • Students will learn about the structure and requirements of the HKDSE English exam, preparing them for future formal preparation.
  • Portfolio Development
  • Each student will create a personalised portfolio titled "My HKDSE English Success Kit," which will include essential tools, strategies, and resources to support their exam success.
  • Homework Assignments
  • Students will engage in reading aloud activities as homework to reinforce learning and enhance their English language skills.

    Course Description

    The Speak3: Speak Freely Breakthrough Workshop is an engaging 2-hour session, supported by research in language acquisition and physical movement, designed to help participants conquer their fear of speaking English. Through dynamic sporting activities, you will actively participate while counting and expressing yourself in English. For instance, as you bounce a ball ten times, you’ll project your voice confidently, saying, “Let’s bounce: one, two, three…” This interactive approach transforms anxiety into empowerment, allowing you to speak English naturally and assertively.
